Explore the world of strings with a violin & viola professor and professional musician

Classical

I’m Ana, a graduated violist and a permanent member of Symphony Orchestra “Stanislav Binicki” in Belgrade, Serbia. I successfully passed the audition in January 2017 and have been part of the orchestra since. Before joining the orchestra, I spent five years as a professor of viola and violin at the special boarding school for musically gifted children “Skola za muzicke talente Cuprija.” The school, founded and led by the “Academy of Music Arts” in Belgrade, is one of only three of its kind in the world, with counterparts in London and Moscow.

During my time as a professor, I had the pleasure of mentoring and guiding my students, who showed exceptional talent. They achieved 25 first-place awards in both national and international competitions. Thanks to their dedication and hard work, all of them secured spots in their desired music academies in Germany, Canada, and Serbia, with full scholarships. I am delighted that we still maintain a strong connection.

Before my tenure at Symphony Orchestra “Stanislav Binicki,” I was a member of the Royal Chamber Orchestra St. George for four years. This experience provided me with invaluable opportunities to participate in numerous world tours, expanding my musical horizons. Additionally, I had the privilege of performing with the National Radio and Television Orchestra in Serbia, the Orchestra of National Theater of Serbia, the National Symphony Orchestra of Montenegro, and the National Symphony Orchestra in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Over the years, I have been involved in various prestigious musical projects, such as “Bridges for the Future” in Bern, Switzerland, “Festival junger Kunstler” in Bayreuth, Germany, “Deutsch-Skandinavischen Jungend-Philharmonie” in Berlin, and the “Music Days International Festival” in Russe, Bulgaria, among others.

As an educator, I strive to provide my students with clear and effective explanations, ensuring they grasp musical concepts easily. I prioritize developing good technique and posture from the outset, as this lays a solid foundation for future progress. I’m proud to see my students enjoying their classes, developing a love for playing music, and eagerly asking questions, as curiosity is an essential aspect of learning and growth.
