Learn piano at any age in less time

I’ve been a piano teacher for over 10 years.  The main reason students enjoy taking lessons from me is that I create individualized lesson sessions and specified curriculum tailored to their learning interest and skill development.  Also, students will learn to play music on the piano in half the time as traditional teaching requires.  My goal is to see students capable and able to play this valuable instrument as soon as possible.  I teach beginners of any age.  My studio is clean and comfortable, and I even invite guest pianists to share with my students from time-to-time.

My music background has been lifelong as I have performed in church, schools, and travelled with music teams and groups throughout Washington state and even in Europe.  You will learn a well-rounded approach that includes rhythm skills, technique, harmony, sight-reading, composition, play by ear, lead sheet, and much more.   I do integrate technical software learning aids into the lesson experience, as well.  If you are interested in gaining a strong and certain competency in piano – then, I am the one that can help you reach your expectations.

I will accept students aged 4 and up.  My method with younger children is to help them discover these three abilities:  1) creating pleasant sounds; 2) using all fingers; and 3) decoding music using color and letter association (depending on their proficiency).  For older children, I will adjust their curriculum to fit how they best learn.  For adults, I have a fantastic method that gets adults playing quickly and proficiently with a few months.  As for advanced students, I find there are commonly a few gaps in their initial learning that hold them back from advancing further.  We identify those “gaps” together and work through them as is needed to bring about positive and progressive results.
