As a passionate and experienced flute instructor, I take immense joy in witnessing my students thrive and find true enjoyment in their musical endeavors. With a personalized approach tailored to each student’s interests and aspirations, my aim is to ensure their success, whether it’s advancing in their band position, preparing for competitions or concerts, or simply experiencing remarkable progress on their instrument.

Let me introduce myself. I am a professional flutist with an Honors B.A. from UCSD and an M.A. in flute performance and music history from SDSU. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of guiding flutists of all levels and ages on their musical path.

The achievements of my students speak volumes about our shared dedication. Many have garnered prestigious awards and triumphed in competitions, including securing 1st place in the esteemed SD Flute Guild and earning recognition statewide. Additionally, I have served as principal with the La Jolla Civic Orchestra and Villa Music Orchestra, honing my own skills while nurturing the talents of those around me.

Teaching is my passion, and I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with numerous talented and enthusiastic students. One of the greatest rewards is witnessing the growth of their confidence and witnessing their accomplishments in the world of music, regardless of their individual goals. Together, we will build a solid foundation, explore new musical horizons, and overcome challenges with resilience.
