Multi-instrumentalist teaching artist with 10+ years experience

I am an indie-pop singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. I have received a degree from Utah State University. Since 2014, I have dedicated myself to teaching music, offering private lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels. My passion for group instruction led me to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for over 200 music classes at a renowned summer camp, where I had the opportunity to inspire and engage with numerous students in a group setting. Additionally, I have gained valuable experience working with young musicians as an assistant teacher at the Mountain West String Academy, a role that allowed me to refine my teaching strategies and foster a supportive learning environment for my students.

My commitment to personal and professional growth is evidenced by my active participation in the music education community. I have attended more than a dozen music conferences and masterclasses, where I have absorbed a wealth of knowledge from esteemed professionals in the field. This continuous learning journey has significantly enriched my teaching methodology and musical expertise. Most recently, I completed an intensive music teaching training program at Songsmith Studio, further solidifying my foundation in music education and enhancing my capabilities as a music educator. This diverse range of experiences has equipped me with the skills necessary to inspire and educate the next generation of musicians.
